Clay training with Rich Fellers, 2012 World Cup champion, is in Clay's opinion "one of the greatest components to my understanding of show jumping techniques", "Rich is an exemplary rider and trainer" having the wealth of experience at the "World Cup" level and such a tactician, he schooled me in ways I had never been challenged before. Not a place for timid riders, "I am extremely lucky to have had Rich nearby, training with him is always an eye opener".

Clay Jackson grew up on a working Quarter Horse ranch in the South Bay Area of California. Both his parents were avid competitors and breeders, this background brought about an education and desire to ride and compete at a very young age.
Clay Jackson has spent several decades working with horses, successfully gaining their confidence and constantly seeking more understanding of the training of horses and advanced riding practices. Well known for his love of horses, anybody that spends little time with him can see the lifelong bond to the equestrian life.
Since his first show in 1965, in Danville California, Clay has become a solid trainer and competitor. It was in his thrill seeking 20's, that Clay rode a half sister to the champion stallion "Truck Driving Man". It took no more than a few winning rides and the future was set, jumping became his passion.
Because of his family history, Clay ran his own breeding operation and for several years produced quality riding horses. You will frequently find him starting young horses or re-schooling a "problem" horse as it has always been a strong part of his career. Many of his started or re-schooled horses have gone on to be great athletes for amateur and professional riders in multiple disciplines.
Clay Jackson attends many clinics every year, schooling, and training with top riders and trainers such as:
Mr.George Morris, chef d’equipe for the United States Equestrian Foundation, USEF, show jumping team.
Mr. Rich Fellers, 2012 World Cup Champion, Silver medalist Pan American games, multiple imternational showjumping winner.
Mr.Kevin Freeman, Silver Medalist Olympics 1968 & 1972 , Eventing Hall of Fame
Mr. Jeff Campf, World Cup rider and international Grand Prix winner
Mrs. Claudia Cojacar, International jumping clinician and technical adviser to 'Jump Canada'
Mr. Joe Fargis, Gold medalist 1984 Olympics, Showjumping
Ms. Heather Oleson, USDF Gold, Silver, Bronze medalist, and FEI trainer and Competitor
Working with these and other professionals, Clay Jackson has continued his education and skills, resulting in a successful training and sales business. You can find many of his horses competing from amateur levels to Grand Prix, in Showjumping, Hunters, and Three Day Eventing.
Traveling in Europe and attending various shows, sales and stallion selection trials, he also spent time training at a private farm while in The Netherlands. Working with many young horses and watching the European trainers techniques, was a great experience.
Clay trains and rides constantly and looks forward to a competitive 2012 season on the "A" circuit.
While further developing the sales market that has brought him so many talented horses to work with. He is always active outdoors, with hiking, sailing and skiing as favorites when he is not with his horses.
